Helping You Raise Ballers with Love & Grace
This Week on the Field
Hey there! It’s been a minute since I’ve posted but that’s due to, well, LIFE! That said, I am committed to posting a ‘newsletter’ of sorts to provide updates, tips and even a recipe or two. And, I want to post on more in-depth insight to help you navigate your baseball journey. It’s can be a wild ride at times but I’m here to help! Now….let’s TALK BALL! ;)
Between gearing up for playoffs, end-of-season banquets and for some, graduation(!), it feels like everything is moving at lightning speed. If you’re feeling all the emotions—excited, proud, exhausted—you’re not alone. During this time for us last year, I was staying up late creating a memory book for my son, while my husband was doing the same in video format. These projects definitely helped release what was likely our nervous energy, but now we have those memories captured for us to look back on. My advice to you? Soak it up!
For the Class of 2026 and 2027 families — use these next few weeks to prep emails, film fresh video and really talk through what your player wants in a program. That part matters more than ever. I was recently featured C3 Recruits podcast to chat about our recruiting experience and how we are doing things differently now.
And for my peeps in Little League — remember that your boy has SO much baseball ahead. So while some of this baseball chatter may not seem to apply, I promise that before you know it, they’ll be on that high school field. Take these days to really ENJOY all of the chaos of your season! And remember, he’s just a boy!
With love & grace,
Courtney

Start early and stay proactive. Encourage your athlete to email coaches, attend targeted camps and keep updating their skills video. Starting early builds familiarity—and familiarity builds opportunity. When emailing coaches, make sure to let them know what tournaments and showcases your athlete will be attending. Once you have them, follow-up with an email about game times.
Don’t get discouraged if you don’t get an immediate response. Remember — coaches are busy! But, if you get on their list, they will appreciate the open communication. Keep it brief and professional. Always a good idea to look over the email before your athlete hits send!
